Concept of Yugas Explained
The universe has to go through a cycle of creation, destruction, and recreation. In Hinduism, this cycle is known as Yugas. Furthermore, there are 4 yugas, Sat Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and Kaliyuga, in order. These 4 yugas have certain events that shape the upcoming yuga. It contains references of the next yuga. Similarly, Bhagvan Vishnu is the preserver of this universe. So, he maintains the law and order.
Therefore, when a decline comes in a yuga, he takes his avatar and balances dharma. After his purpose is fulfiled, he returns back to Vaikuntha. This is how the cycle of Yugas continues. Now let us learn about the 4 yugas & avatars of Bhagvan Vishnu.
Satya Yuga Avatars:
In Satya Yuga, Lord Vishnu took avatars as Matasya, Kurma, Varah, and Narsimha. Now, let us understand these in breif.
Matsya Avatar

- The first avatar of God Vishnu Ji is known as Fish incarnation or Matsya Avatar
- Matsya Avatar killed Hayagriva and saved Vedas.
- The Matsya Avatar is known for helping King Satyavrata from the massive flood.
Kurma Avatar
